Product Details

A washed-down denim cap with a faded, lived-in look from the first day. It is light, it breaks in easy, and it sits low and natural without any effort. The kind of cap you forget you are wearing.

Sizing: Fits head sizes from 21.5 to 23.5 inches. An adjustable buckle strap at the back sets the fit to your head.

Material: Washed denim that breathes, holds its shape, and gets better with wear.

Fit: A classic flat cap profile that sits low and natural on the head. No stiffness, and nothing to break in.

Construction: Clean panel seams with reinforced stitching throughout, finished with a short, flat brim. Built to hold its shape over years of regular wear.

Wearability: Light, breathable denim that wears easily from spring through autumn. The kind of cap you reach for without thinking.

Shipping Information

I offer free shipping on every order within the U.S., no minimum needed.

Every cap is packed with care before it ships out. Once your order is on its way, you'll receive a tracking number by email so you can follow it home.

Please allow 6-10 business days for delivery. It's been busy with the closing sale, so shipping is a little slower than usual. Thanks for bearing with me.

Cap Care

A good cap can last years if you treat it right.

  • Brush off dust gently with a soft brush
  • Spot clean only, never put it in the washing machine
  • Let it dry flat, away from direct heat or sunlight
  • Store on a hat rack or flat surface to keep its shape

Satisfaction Guarantee

I've put 35 years of work into making these caps right. If for any reason you're not happy with yours, just email me and I'll make it right. No questions, no hassle. That's my promise.

My Story

I started this shop back in 1991 with a workbench, a handful of tools, and the patience to learn the craft. What began as work slowly became something I loved, then something I couldn't imagine my life without. For 35 years, I've been cutting, stitching, and shaping each one by hand, the way I always have. Steady, honest, built to last.

The big names took over and the costs kept climbing. At 60, I can't keep fighting it. Closing these doors means giving up the one thing that's defined most of my life. I'm closing Ray's Caps for good.

Made the Old Way

Every cap leaves my workshop the same way: cut, stitched, and shaped by hand. No machines doing the careful work. No shortcuts on the materials. After 35 years, this is the only way I know how to make caps.

What Customers Say

Review 1
I have a big head, always have. Most caps sit too tight or slide right off. This one fits proper. Doesn't pinch, doesn't slide. Best fit I've had in years.
Review 2
I don't usually buy hats online. I like to see them first, feel the fabric, try one on. But my son ordered from Ray's Caps and showed me his, so I figured I'd give it a try. Glad I did. The cap arrived quick and it's better made than I expected.
Review 3
You don't see this kind of work much anymore. The fabric has some weight to it, but breathes fine. Feels like the caps my dad used to wear. Not a lot left like this.
Review 4
My wife got this for me for my birthday. I'm particular about my hats and she knows it, but she picked a good one. Wear it near every day now. Neighbor at church asked me where I got it last Sunday.
Review 5
Had a question about sizing before I ordered. Emailed and got a reply within a day. Actual answer, not one of those bot responses. That's how you know it's a real person.
Review 6
Took a little over a week to arrive, just like they said it would. Got the tracking email so I knew where it was. Cap arrived exactly as pictured.

How are your caps made?

Every cap is cut, stitched, and shaped by hand. After 35 years at the bench, this is the only way I know how to make caps. No machines doing the careful work. No shortcuts on the construction.

How should I care for my cap?

A well-made cap doesn't need much to last. Keep it in a cool, dry place when you're not wearing it, and give it a gentle brush now and then to keep the fabric fresh. If it gets wet, let it dry naturally. Simple care will keep your cap in good shape for years.

And if you're ever unsure, you can always ask me directly at ray@rays-caps.com.
